Who handles your information

Tregantle AI Ltd is responsible for the personal information described here (the data controller). This notice covers this website, enquiries and introductory bookings. For privacy questions or requests, contact Brett Moreton at brett@tregantle-ai.com.

What we collect and why

When you use the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address and message. We use these to answer your enquiry and discuss any work you ask about. The form sends your message to Brett's business inbox; it does not add you to a mailing list.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we may instead rely on that contractual basis.

Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site. The form uses your IP address to limit repeated submissions. Our legitimate interest is keeping the website reliable and preventing abuse.

You choose whether to contact us. The marked form fields are needed to submit an enquiry and receive a reply. Please keep messages relevant to your enquiry and avoid including sensitive personal information or confidential client records.

Services involved

  • Cloudflare hosts the site and processes form submissions.
  • Resend delivers your name, email address and message to our inbox.
  • Business email and productivity providers help us receive, store and manage correspondence.
  • Google Fonts supplies the fonts. Your browser connects to Google to download them, sharing your IP address and technical request details.

Our booking button opens Calendly, where the details you provide are used to arrange the meeting. Calendly and LinkedIn are links, rather than embedded widgets: their own privacy notices apply when you visit them. See Calendly's privacy notice and LinkedIn's privacy policy.

Where information is processed

Some providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Resend stores email data in the US; choosing Ireland as its sending region does not restrict storage to Ireland.

Cloudflare and Resend describe their international transfer safeguards in their data processing agreements, including standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum where applicable. You can read Cloudflare's agreement and Resend's agreement, or ask Brett for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry. Google's font service is covered by Google's privacy policy and transfer safeguards.

How long information is kept

Enquiries that do not lead to client work will be deleted from our active correspondence records within 12 months of the last substantive contact, unless they are needed to resolve a complaint, dispute or legal obligation.

If an enquiry leads to client work, relevant correspondence becomes part of that client record. Its retention depends on the engagement, applicable record-keeping obligations and any outstanding claims.

The website does not maintain a separate database of messages. Resend states that email and log data on its standard plans is retained for 30 days, with backups persisting for seven days. Its retention is separate from the copy delivered to our inbox. Technical records held by our providers follow their service retention policies.

Cookies and analytics

The current website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use browser storage for enquiries, or include visitor analytics. Hosting security features may use essential technologies to protect the site. Other websites you visit through our links have their own cookie settings.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, corrections, deletion, restrictions on its use, or a portable copy where that right applies.

You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact Brett using the email above and explain your request. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law.

If you are concerned about how we handle your information, you can complain to Brett. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.

We will update this notice when the website or our handling of enquiries changes.
